The number of foreign tourist arrivals (tourists) to the Province of Bali in May of 2018 reached 528,5 thousand visits. The number of visits increased by 2.27 percent compared with the previous month while compared with the same month in 2017, this month's visit was recorded an 8 percent increase. Judging from its entrance, less than half a percent of foreign tourists visit by sea while most others come by air mode. China is still the country of origin of the highest tourists this month. Visits of tourists from this country is almost a quarter of total visits this month. The composition of the country of origin of foreign tourists also did not change compared with before. The arrival of foreign tourists from China is still the highest with the percentage of visits reached more than 23 percent. After China, Australia's second-largest account contributed nearly 19 percent. Other tourism indicators released during May are Room Occupancy Rate (TPK). ROR in May increased for the star hotel group while on the other hand it dropped for non-star hotels. TPK star hotels in Bali increased from 63.53 percent in Apirl month to 67.55 percent in May. In line with the rise of TPK Star Hotels in Bali, TPK in Gianyar also increased from 47.66 percent to 52.74 percent for the same period. In contrast to provincial figures that declined from 33.29 percent to 28.64 percent, the non-star hotel Gianyar RORs actually increased from 43.36 percent to 44.64 percent. The increase in the star hotel TPK was not followed by an increase in Average Length of Stay Guests (RLTM). RTLM star hotel in Bali decreased 2.98 days to 2.74 days. Decline in RTLM Star Hotel also occurred in Gianyar Regency. Hotel star RLTM in Gianyar dropped from 2.61 days to 2.32 days in April and May 2018 period. The decline of the star hotel RLTM was not followed by a decline in non-star hotel RLTM. Non-star hotels RLTM in Gianyar increased by 2.62 days to 2.70. This is much better compared to Bali RLTM which tends to decrease although not too high.
