Abstract

  • In February 2017 Singaraja City experienced inflation of 0.79 percent, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 138.60. The inflation rate of the calendar year (January-February) in 2017 amounted to 2.59 percent, and the inflation rate year-on-year (February 2017 to February 2016) amounted to 6.48 percent.
  • Inflation is characterized by an increase in the index occurred in transport, communication and financial services 1.21 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 1.18 percent; foodstuffs 1.00 percent; clothing group of 0.43 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.36 percent; health group 0.32 percent. As for education, recreation and sports deflation of 0.04 percent.
  • Commodities that experienced an increase in prices during the month of February 2017 include: chili sauce, satay, electricity, automobiles, motorcycles, sugar, pulse rates of mobile phones, carrots, bean sprouts / sprouts, red peppers, rice, cigarette filters, coffee powder , potatoes, beans, apples. Commodities that experienced price declines include: chicken, eggs, dried instant noodles, onion, fresh anchovies, cucumber, spinach, beans, bananas, squid, color television, mustard greens.
  • Inflation occurs in 62 cities and deflation occurred in 20 cities from across the city who count the numbers were highest in Manado inflasi.Inflasi by 1.16 percent and the lowest in Ternate 0.03 percent, while the highest deflation occurred in Jambi 1.40 percent and lowest in Bungo 0.02 percent.
  • The rank of the city with the highest inflation, then Singaraja City ranks 8th after the town of Madiun.
