Abstract


The Bali Farmer Exchange Rate Index (NTP) of Bali Province in May 2018 recorded an increase of 0.04 percent, from 103.18 in April 2018, to 103.23. In terms of index received by farmers (It), recorded a decrease of 0.11 percent, from 132.54 to 132.40. Meanwhile, in terms of index paid by farmers (Ib), recorded a decrease of 0.15 percent, from 128.45 to 128.26. The increase in NTP in May 2018 was recorded in the Livestock Subsector by 0.45 percent, followed by the Subsector of Smallholder Plantation and Fisheries Sub-sector by 0.28 percent and 0.10 percent, respectively. On the other hand, the Food Crops Sub-sector and Horticulture Sub-sector recorded a decrease of 0.71 percent and 0.10 percent respectively. In May 2018, Bali Province recorded a 0.29 percent deflation in rural areas. Meanwhile, nationally recorded rural inflation of 0.19 percent. Of the 33 provinces surveyed by rural inflation in May 2018, 26 provinces recorded inflation, with the highest inflation recorded in Maluku Province reaching 1.82 percent and the lowest in Riau Islands Province by 0.06 percent. Meanwhile, 7 provinces recorded deflation, with the deepest deflation recorded in West Sumatera Province reaching 0.45 percent.
