Abstract

In March 2020, the National General Trading Price Index (IHPB) rose by 0.10 percent against February 2020. The highest increase in IHPB occurred in the Mining and Quarrying Sector by 0.66 percent.

Some commodities that experienced price increases in March 2020 include onions, ginger, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and instant dry noodles.

Changes in PPI in the 2020 calendar year were 0.62 percent and year-on-year changes in PPI were 1.76 percent.

Building Material / Construction IHPB in March 2020 decreased by 0.11 percent compared to the previous month, partly due to a decline in the prices of diesel, asphalt, cement, split stones, and concrete steel. [100-20200401]
