Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) against the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.

March 2020 national NTP was 102.09, down 1.22 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The decline in NTP was due to the Farmer Received Price Index (IT) which fell by 1.08 percent, while the Farmer Paid Price Index (Ib) rose by 0.14 percent.

In March 2020, the Maluku Utara Province NTP experienced the highest increase (0.76 percent) compared to the increase in other provinces. On the contrary, Riau Province NTP experienced the biggest decrease (3.51 percent) compared to the decline in other provinces.

In March 2020 there was a change in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Indonesia by 0.19 percent due to an increase in the index in the eleven groups of IKRT compilers, especially the Personal Care Group and Other Services.

The national Agricultural Household Exchange (NTUP) in March 2020 was 102.90, down 1.18 percent compared to NTUP the previous month. [100-20200401]
