The number of poor people in Bali in March 2020 was around 165.19 thousand people. Increased by 8.3 thousand people compared to the number of poor people in September 2019 which recorded around 156.91 thousand people.
During the period September 2019 - March 2020, the percentage of poor people in urban areas recorded an increase, from 3.04 percent in September 2019 to 3.33 percent in March 2020. Conversely, the percentage of poor people in rural areas decreased from 4.86 percent in September 2019 to 4.78 percent in March 2020.
The poverty line was recorded to have risen by around 4.10 percent, from Rp412,906.00 per capita per month in September 2019 to Rp 429,834.00 per capita per month in March 2020.
The Poverty Depth Index (P1) in Bali in March 2020 was recorded at 0.524, an increase of 0.02 points compared to September 2019. While the Poverty Severity Index (P2) did not change compared to September 2019 which was recorded at 0.103.
Income inequality in Bali illustrated by the Gini Ratio index decreased (improved) 0.001 points from 0.370 in September 2019 to 0.369 in March 2020.
