Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the index of prices received by farmers (It) against the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed and for production costs. The higher the NTP, the stronger the ability / purchasing power of farmers is relatively stronger.

In January 2020, Riau Province NTP experienced the highest increase (5.59 percent) compared to the increase in other provinces. In contrast, the NTP of the Province of Aceh experienced the greatest decline (0.97 percent) compared to the decline in other provinces.
