Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) against the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The national FTT for February 2020 was 103.35, down 0.78 percent compared to the previous month's FTT. The decline in NTP was due to the Farmer Received Price Index (IT) which fell by 0.38 percent, while the Farmer Paid Price Index (Ib) rose by 0.40 percent.
In February 2020, the NTP of Sulawesi Barat Province experienced the highest increase (2.05 percent) compared to the increase in other provinces. In contrast, the NTP of Riau Province experienced the largest decline (4.86 percent) compared to the decline in other provinces.
In February 2020 there was a change in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Indonesia by 0.48 percent due to an increase in the index in the eleven groups of IKRT, especially the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Group.
The national Agricultural Household Exchange (NTUP) in February 2020 was 104.13, down 0.57 percent compared to NTUP the previous month. [100-20200302]
