Abstract

The combined Producer Price Index (PPI) of the three sectors (Agriculture, Mining and Excavation, and Manufacturing Industries) in the second quarter of 2020 fell 1.44 percent against the first quarter of 2020 (q-to-q) and fell 0.73 percent against quarter II-2019 (y-on-y).

Agriculture sector PPI in the second quarter of 2020 fell 1.47 percent against quarter I-2020 (q-to-q) and rose 2.67 percent in quarter II-2019 (y-on-y).

Mining and Quarrying Sector PPI in quarter II-2020 decreased by 12.13 percent compared to quarter I-2020 (q-to-q) and decreased by 20.79 percent compared to quarter II-2019 (y-on-y).

Processing Industry PPI quarter II-2020 fell 0.01 percent against quarter I-2020 (q-to-q) and rose 1.26 percent against quarter II-2019 (y-on-y).

The PPI of the Electricity and Gas Procurement Sector in the second quarter of 2020 dropped 0.01 percent compared to the first quarter of 2020 (q-to-q) and in the second quarter of 2019 (y-on-y) it rose 0.06 percent.

Water Management Sector PPI in quarter II-2020 remained unchanged compared to quarter I-2020 (q-to-q) and rose 0.57 percent compared to quarter II-2019 (y-on-y).

Passenger Transport Sector PPI in quarter II-2020 fell 1.31 percent against quarter I-2020 (q-to-q) and in quarter II-2019 (y-on-y) it fell 4.55 percent.

The PPI of the Accommodation and Food and Beverage Supply Sector in the second quarter of 2020 fell 0.24 percent against the first quarter of 2020 (q-to-q) and rose 0.30 percent against the second quarter of 2020 (y-on-y). Education Services Sector PPI in quarter II-2020 fell 0.68 percent against quarter I-2020 (q-to-q) while in quarter II-2019 (y-on-y) it rose 2.33 percent.

Health Services Sector PPI in quarter II-2020 rose 0.34 percent against quarter I-2020 (q-to-q) and rose 1.29 percent against quarter II-2020 (y-on-y). [100-20200803]
